Deliverance Angels

God the Father of Spirits created angels

Nehemiah 9:6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

(Could not the “tree of life” be a type of Jesus Christ the knowledge of Heaven?)

Isaiah 6:1-3; Revelation 4-5.

The Hebrew word for “seraphim” is “saraph”, it means: “majestic beings with 6 wings, human hands or voices in attendance upon God”. The word for “seraphim” is for the root word: “saraph”, which means: “to burn”.

Are all angels good?

Some angels are “elect” (1 Timothy 5:21) or “holy” (Matthew 25:31; Mark 8:38). All angels were originally holy, enjoying the presence of God (Matthew 18:10) and the environment of heaven (Mark 13:32).

Other angels oppose God under the leadership of Satan (Matthew 25:41; 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 6; Ephesians 6:12). We often call these “demons.” Job. 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. 7 And the LORD said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the LORD and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it."

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Lord send your angels

Bind and Rebuke Satan and his angelic spirits

Angels are dispatched by prayer.God often uses angels as His means of answering the prayers of His people (Daniel 9:20-24; 10:10-12; Acts 12:1-17).

Matthew 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

Acts 12:5 7 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.: 7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

Angels are messengers

The Hebrew word used here for “angels” is “mal’ak” it can mean: “angel, i.e., a supernatural being as a class creation that is God’s servant, esp. in informing or proclaiming a message from God”[2]… messenger, i.e., one who informs or announces, which may include surveillance functions” [3] “Messenger, representative, courtier, angel. “Messenger” is an inadequate term for the range of tasks carried out by the ot  malak. These were 1) to carry a message, 2) to perform some other specific commission, and 3) to represent more or less officially the one sending him.” [4]

Luke 1:19 And the angel answered and said to him, "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings.

Luke 1:26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,

Angels can (but do not need to) eat food

Gen. 19 3 But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

Psalms 78:49 He cast on them the fierceness of His anger, Wrath, indignation, and trouble, By sending angels of destruction among them.

Rev.9: 15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.

Revelation 15:7 Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever.

Angels save God’s people from harm!

Genesis 19:15 When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, "Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city."

Angels are coming and going to the earth!

Genesis 28:12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

2 Chronicles 16:9  "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars."

'2 Chronicles 18:18 Then Micaiah said, "Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing on His right hand and His left. 19  "And the LORD said, `Who will persuade Ahab king of Israel to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?' So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. 20  "Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, and said, `I will persuade him.' The LORD said to him, `In what way?

Angels are not glorified human beings. Matthew 22:30 explains that they do not marry or reproduce like humans, and Hebrews 12:22-23 says that when we get to the heavenly Jerusalem, we will be met by “myriads of angels” and “the spirits of righteous men made perfect”—two separate groups.

Angels are spiritual and not a race descended from a common ancestor (Luke 20:34-36). We are called “sons of men,” but angels are never called “sons of angels.”

Scripture speaks about the creation of angels. (Nehemiah 9:6; Psalm 148:2,5). Colossians 1:16-17

“For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

The time of their creation is never specified, but it probable occurred with the creation of the heavens in Genesis 1:1. Job 38:4-7, “the sons of God shouted for joy” when He laid the foundations of the earth.

Angels are without number

Job 25:3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

Psalms 68:17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, Daniel 7:10; Matthew 26:53

Hebrew word for “host” is “tsaba’” it can mean: “armies, hosts.”[1] So, we can say;

that God is sitting with His armies of heaven.

It appears that all angels were created at one time. No new angels are being added to the number. Angels are not subject to death or any form of extinction; therefore they do not decrease in number.

Angelic bodies?

Angels are essentially “ministering spirits,” (Hebrews 1:14) and do not have physical bodies like humans. Jesus declared that “a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have”

(Luke 24:37-39). Because angels can only be in one place at a time. They have a localized presence. Angels can take on the appearance of men when the occasion. “entertain angels unaware” (Hebrews 13:2)? On the other hand, their appearance is sometimes in dazzling white and blazing glory (Matthew 28:2-4).Since angels are spirits rather than physical beings, they don't have to be visible at all (Colossians 1:16). Elisha once prayed that his servant would see the armies of angels surrounding the city, and the young man discovered that he had overlooked a lot of invisible beings (2 Kings 6:17)! Genesis 18, Abraham welcomed three angelic guests who appeared at first to be nothing more than some travellers. In the following chapter, two angels went to Sodom where they were assumed to be simply a pair of human visitors. Zechariah 5:9, angels usually appear as males rather than females (Mark 16:5). An angel may appear to be a man with unusual features. Daniel saw an angel with arms and legs resembling polished metal and precious stones, and a face like lightning (Daniel 10:5-6). The angel that rolled back the stone from Christ's tomb was radiating dazzling light (Matthew 28:3; Luke 24:4). The book of Revelation describes some highly unusual beings who may be a variety of angel in Revelation 4:6-8. Angels appear as adults and full grown and are viewed with awe. Bible passages picture angels with wings (Isaiah 6:2,6). Other verses talk about angels flying (Daniel 9:21). Most references to angels in the Bible say nothing about wings, and in passages like Genesis 18-19, it is certain that no wings were visible.

Angels compare to humans?

2 Samuel 14:20 To fetch about this form of speech hath thy servant Joab done this thing: and my Lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth.

Angels have great strength Psalms 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. 2 Peter 2:11.

They are greater than man in knowledge, but are not omniscient (2 Samuel 14:20; Matthew 24:36) (Daniel 9:21-23, 10:10-14).

Special angelic beings like cherubim (Ezekiel 1) and seraphim (Isaiah 6). We also know the names of two notable angels: Michael (Daniel 10:13; Jude 9) and Gabriel (Daniel 9:21; Luke 1:19,26).

The many unnamed angels who appear most often in Scripture carry out a variety of tasks—all are designed to serve God…

Provision  God has used angels to provide physical needs such as food for Hagar (Genesis 21:17-20), Elijah (1 Kings 19:6), and Christ after His temptation (Matthew 4:11).

Caring for believers at the moment of death - In the story of Lazarus and the rich man, we read that angels carried the spirit of Lazarus to “Abraham's bosom” when he died (Luke 16:22).
