Basis of the Holy Spirit

Accept

Salvation identified with the death & resurrection of Christ ....Blood Sacrifice

Baptism Exodus 30:17-21... (Washing away the sin ... baptism in the water)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit receiving the spirit of God, the option to live in the kingdom of God : a new life style.

 

1 John 5:5-8. “Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is He who came by water and blood ─ Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.”

(Quench not His gifts) (Do not put out the Spirit's fire) 1 Thessalonians 5:19.

Accept The Promise of Power (343 x’s)

 

Luke 24:49  “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

strength power, ability .. inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature, or which a person or thing exerts and puts forth .. power for performing miracles .. moral power and excellence of soul .. the power and influence which belong to riches and wealth .. power and resources arising from numbers .. power consisting in or resting upon armies, forces, hosts

 

Accept The Evidence

Speak with new tongues;" (Mark 16:17)

Accept The Power

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem , and in all Judea and Samaria , and to the ends of the earth.

Matthew 12:28 But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you” .

Accept The Qualification

Acts 1:4-9 says "All those that call upon the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins are qualified to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Accept The Holy Spirit

John 14:16-18: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

John 16:12-14 NKJV "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you."

Accept the Baptism By Christ

St. John 1:33"And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost."

Accept The Authority

Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Zechariah 4:6". . . Not by might, nor by power; but by my spirit, saith the Lord of Hosts."

(Jude 1:20) .But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,"

Judges 13:25" And the Spirit of the Lord began to move him at times..."

Galatians 5:22, 23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

Corinthians 2:12 "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."

Corinthians 12:8, 10" For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;... To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another diverse kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues."

Romans 8:26" Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

Accept The Conviction

And when he has come, he will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. Of sin, because they do not believe in me; of righteousness, because I go to my father and you see me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged." (John 16:9-11)

Accept The Edification

Who speaks in a tongue edifies himself;" (1 Corinthians 14:4)

Accept Faith “We have an altar" (Hebrews 13:10),

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Acts 27:25 So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."

Isaiah 50:7 Because the Sovereign LORD helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.

Through faith: all my needs are supplied.

“My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

“Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.” Psalm 23:1

Through faith I have no fears.

“For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7

Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

Through faith Satan is defeated by Christ dwelling in me.

“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

“Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 2:14

Through faith I have access to the wisdom of God.

“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.” James 1:5

Through faith I have no worries.

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

“Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith?” Matthew 6:28-30

Through faith I am not condemned there for my guilt feelings are gone.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.“ Romans 8:1,2

Through faith I see the goodness of the LORD

I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.Psalm 27:13

Through faith I am not lonely.

“Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:20

"I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

Through faith I do not have bad luck or good luck for God guides my steps.

“A man's heart plans his course, But Yahweh directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9

Through faith I am content with my life as it is now.

“Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you." So that with good courage we say, "The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5,6

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.” 1 Timothy 6:6-8

Through faith in Christ i conqueror all the troubles i may pass through.

No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:31-39

“I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Through faith I rejoice when I am persecuted for Christ’s sake.

"Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:11,12

Through FAITH I will have confidence to enter the presence of the Lord

Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, Hebrews 10:19
